NC-11 became NC-14 and then NC11 again (and other updates from the district)
Updated: Mar 21
It's been an eventful year here in WNC. When the campaign was launched in April 2021, we were campaigning for NC district 11, but after results from the census confirmed that North Carolina's population has grown in the last 10 years, an additional House seat was awarded to NC. We could not have predicted that our region would be renamed as the 14th, because we had been the 11th for the last 60 years. Most of the district boundaries are the same as before, and the spirit of the campaign remains committed to WNC. Another important shift, we are no longer facing our incumbent representative Madison Cawthorn as an opponent, he has decided to campaign for NC-13 in the 2022 midterms. That means the race is on for primaries on both sides of the aisle!
Speaking of primaries: the new election date is set for May 17th, 2022. If you are an Unaffiliated voter, ask for a Democratic ballot and cast your vote for Bo Hess so that Mr. Hess can move on to the general election and earn your representation in Congress.
